WHAT DOES YOUR ONLINE PRESENCE SAY ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?

This week my little family of Vickery’s are off to the Lake District; taking the opportunity to explore our own country, given the current situation and restrictions on overseas travel.

Being planners, Mr V and I have been busy researching all of the different places we will visit, the activities we will take part in, the accommodation we will stay in, the restaurants, the boat trips etc.

It’s at this time that good ol’ Google has proven to be a best buddy, because not only are you able to look at all the different options, but you can of course look at the reviews too!

Looking online (websites, review sites, social media) has been such a big part of making our decisions for our trip – for what we will and will not do, and where we will and will not go/stay.

Do you do this too, when you are planning your trips?

YOUR online presence is no different.

So here is a question that is REALLY important for you to answer…

What does an online search reveal about your business?

As a business owner, it’s incredibly important to curate your business story across all of your online assets, for example:

  • What a Google search reveals.
  • What your reviews say.
  • What story your website tells.
  • How your brand is portrayed by your Social Media presence.
  • What action you want people to take.

If you get this right, it will build your brand, and build on your ability to get leads for your business.

So here’s a FANTASTIC task for you, if you’re up for the challenge?

AUDIT YOUR DIGITAL “REPUTATION”

  • What is the story that it tells?
  • Is it all singing from the same song sheet?
  • Are you happy with it?
  • How would you rate it?
  • What do you need to change?

Here is a handy Assessment Tool for you, that will show you what to look out for, and give you the ability to see where your priorities are when it comes to improving your online story.

This will most certainly help you to improve.

Do let me know how you get on! I’d love to hear what this helps you to identify and how you plan to improve.
